What a start to our Horstead trip!
We travelled on the coach to the Horstead Centre, arriving just before lunchtime. We then went for a walk and found a picnic spot by the river for lunch.
After lunch and a runaround, we walked back to the centre for our Welcome talk and then got ready for our first activity.
Group 1 were crate stacking, seeing how high they could get with a partner on wobbly crates! Group 2 did an orienteering activity around the site, exploring the different areas. Group 3 got very wet and soggy out on the kayaks – some ended up going for a little swim!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner of spag bol, with four choices of dessert! After some down time and diary writing, we got into groups for a quiz – testing our general knowledge.
Finally, we got ready for bed and had a story altogether in the lounge, before settling down in our rooms. We’re hoping for a good night’s sleep, ready for lots of activities tomorrow!
